Default Thoughts on GT500 axleback?

What is everyone's opinion on the GT500 axlebacks? I have watched a ton of videos but know in person is a lot better, don't know anyone around me with them. Just wondering what everyone thought about sound quality. I have heard nothing but good things about them. By the way I have a 2012 gt completely stock system so far. Down the road may also do off road h or x pipe.

Thanks

They are nice, after a while i wish they were louder. Removing the resonators will fix that though. Price is perfect. The $700 Ford Racing axlebacks are much better, but for that much I would get the ATAKs.

If you haven't already PM the AM rep (Shane) and he can hook you up with the forum discount.

I really like mine, they don't drone whatsoever. Quiet while cruising, but louder when you're on it. The resonator removal made them better. The resonators are the bullet-style looking mufflers in the pipes just in front of the axle-backs. To remove them, have a muffler shop cut them out and replace with straight pipe:

Ok great thanks for the info. Guessing will only be about a $50 job at a muffler shop.

Love my GT500's, nice deep aggressive tone without being over the top loud.
And I paid $50 to have mine done at the local Muffler Shop.

I just had FRPP Touring Axle backs installed on my 2013 Track Pack. I like the workmanship on them, "rolled lip" and the sound is moderate, for now. The problem for me was the fact that they stuck out way to much for my taste. I guess so you can read Ford Racing on it, but to me it was nasty. In less then 24 hrs I had them cut at the back end and moved them in closer to the bumper for that perfect angle stock look but with 4 inch tips. I love them now!! Looks really nice, perfect. Now later on will be upgrading the H pipe along with the Boss Quad exhaust. Then that will be pefection IMO.

Any thoughts? Feedback?
