No problem. Now can someone tell me if I need to bleed the air out of the heat exchanger? I've been googling it and still not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my thinking is I can squeeze the hose coming out of the HE to help push any air out of it.

how do you have it run? I've always read the whipple instructions actually have you do it backwards, you should fill the heat exchanger from the bottom, thus eliminating possibilities of bubbles.

Did a whipple install on a buddies car like 3 months ago and I swear they had you "fill" it from the top, which seemed backwards.

Both the whipple and afco have the inlet at the top. The afco has the inlet and outlet on the same side. I have to think they do this for a reason.

Coolant just passes through it, so why would there be a "set" inlet and outlet?

Just passing along info from people that have re-routed theirs with benefits, and no more worries about bubbles.

I mean doesn't it just make sense that if you're filling something with a fluid, you would fill from the bottom?

I would think so, but what do I know. There really isn't any easy way to change the inlet and outlet of the afco. The kit is made to replace the gt500 heat exchanger. Where the coolant goes in is on the back and faces the drivers side. The outlet is just below it on the side and faces the passenger side.

You are correct that heat exchangers and radiators should be filled from the bottom. It's a long debate as to if it helps cooling or not but one thing everyone does agree on, is filling from the bottom will natural purge all the air from the heat exchanger once the pump is circulating. OP I know a few people that didn't want to relocate the pump to the passenger so they fill the afco from the fitting at the top and it has worked fine for them. Though the one had some trouble with getting all the air out. OP you are correct that the AFCO you have which is not the "Pro" has a smaller surface area but with being 3 inches thick will out perform the whipple one. It looks good with that bumper wish my stock one was that open.
