I have a problem when filling the car with fuel

I have the same issue, and usually filling with the pump upside down would work, but recently it hasn't.
The only technique for me that works 100%, is to turn the pump about 45 degrees to the right, and pull it up slightly while pumping at the middle or lowest setting.

Same issue here too. If it truly is due to the structural design of the tanks itself, then it really perplexes me. Wouldn't you think that Ford engineering would do computational flow simulation on the tanks? Or did they just create the fuel system, shrug their shoulders, and say to themselves "Yea, that'll probably work"? I can't imagine that it was a supplier manufacturing issue as I know from experience that if something doesn't work right out of the box and isn't built to spec, those large quantities get sent right back to the vendor to be repaired/rebuilt.
7 years of s197 production and quality and engineering still haven't found an improvement in the initial design? Hot dang.

Ford apparently did come up with a hard fix to this, as it was partially caused by the inlet hose being a little too long, and poorly angled. I heard they re-routed the inlet hose farther into the trunk and this gave it a straighter angle straight down into the gas tank getting rid of the bad angle. Probably too costly to retrofit every S197 out there with this fix, so Ford probably ditched it.
Kind of a big mess up on Ford's part, and I'm sure someone's *** ended up on the chopping block because if it, but I guess they just swept it under the rug much like the SJB water problem.
I'll see if I can find some links, but I read this on another forum quite a while ago. My explanations are **** poor lol.

I've had my car since 05 I've been dealing with this, and I've found to try a diffrent pump at the gas station till I find one that will not do it . And stick to that one every time. Also I've noticed the newer style nozzles with out the spring seen to work the best. The ones shell carry that says vsr, or vrs something like that

+1 here (New Jersey) I've had my '06 GT since new, and this has sporadically happened in the past, but in the last few months, its been happening everytime I fill up. (63,000 mi) now.

The 05/06 Mustangs had the worst problems with this. In 07 Ford made a few changes to the gas tank design, but it still can do it on all 05-09 Mustangs. My 08 does it once and a while. My 2011 has never done it however.
