What is the difference between a cl7140 and a u7140 and is the cl7140 compatible with my 06 gt its unlocked if that matters thanks a lot for the info

unlocked matters the most

but the model # must also be right

u is from diablo has diablo canned tunes
and cl is programmed with canned tunes
by an aftermarket company

It says for 05 doesn't say anything else and so itell have Cai tunes on it

I believe the cl7140 should work with your '06. However, you'll have to get new tunes from an aftermarket tuner for you GT. Since the tunes on there are currently for an '05, you PCM isn't supported with those parameters.

The best way to double check is give the company of your choice a call and see if they'll send you new custom tunes. I'd be happy to set you up with our Bama custom tunes, as well. Give the Bama Team a call directly @ 888.226.9764 if you have any questions about the tuner supporting your PCM!

Yep, the 05s and 06es calibration codes are different...

Its a sticker on your PCM that has the internal PCM calibration codes...

This must be known before and kind of custom tune can be written.
Not so much for the lack-luster pre-loaded canned tunes.
Not much bang for the buck with the canned tunes...
