Default Just got a used strut tower brace for my 05 GT

I just got a used strut tower brace for my 05 GT but I just realized that it is for a V6. Will this strut tower brace work on my GT? I test fit it over the studs and everything lines up right but just want to make sure it won't hurt the car.

It may not hurt the car, but it wont provide the same effect.. I dont know if it will be as rigid as the v8 version..

You can check and see who made it and who it was sold by. See if the part numbers are the same. $20 says it will work.

You'd have to install it to check for hood and engine clearance, but if it's clear, run it!

I believe the V6 strut bars are higher than the V8, see how it clears your hood.

I think the 4 strut bolts are set at 27 ft-lbs when you tighten them up.

The V6 strut bar sits higher to clear the higher intake manifold on the 4.0 so the center of the brace is higher. Other than that there really is no difference. You will just have a little more clearance than the V8 specific bar would have between the brace and your intake manifold; probably not something that anyone would even notice. But fitting under the hood will not be an issue since the V6 and V8 both have the same hood and the same strut towers up front.

Ok so it won't bend the strut towers or anything under hard handling?

Same basic body style for both. Weather it is a V6 or a V8. Hood design & strut tower heights are all the same. You are good to go. 05screaminyellow, that is a nice color.
