Default Price For Supercharger Install?

Hi,

I recently purchased a Roushcharger M90 for my 2010 Mustang Gt and was looking for a shop to do the Install.

I've only contacted tpsmotorsports and they want $1300 + 325 for a hand held tuner + 375 for the dyno tune. Is that a fair price? I don't really know much about car engines or else I would install it myself and get a tune from Brenspeed. The Roush Instructions make it seem so easy but I don't wanna break anything because of my inexperience

Anybody know a good shop in North Cal?

most shop labor is around 60-120$/hour depending on area and caliber. I have to imagine its on the higher end of the scale in Cali.

how many hours are involved in installing that particular SC? call and get quotes from a few different shops, but ultimate, make sure the work is done by a shop you trust. sometimes you truly get what you pay for, and this is an install that should be done properly.

Are you wanting a dyno tune? I thought the M90 kit came with a roush tune, something like sending you PCM to them to get flashed... that alone would save you $700.

If you've got other mods in line then a tuner is something you'll eventually need.

$1300 isn't too bad, although I've heard people say it can be done for $800-$1000. The tuner and dyno tune prices aren't bad.

Man the F up and do it yourself! Breaking **** is how you learn.

Anyone with a driveway can install a supercharger. I wouldn't try installing it in your apartment complex parking lot.

1300 is high. I paid 700 for mine. And if it's a good shop it won't take all day to do the install. Should only take them 6 hrs to do it if that. I believe brenspeed had mine done in around 5 hours.

Hey now, some us have to make the best of what we have.

My spring install would have been better in a garage but my only car literate friend has a driveway I can't pull in or out of without scrapping.

According to the site this kit is 50 state legal.

The problem Im having is that there aren't that many shops near me (Sacramento)

But Im not too thrilled of me driving to Southern Cal to get a good shop to install the kit.

The M90 is a piece of cake to install. Really, 1 day job even for a novice. Save $1300 and put on the mechanic gloves.
