Does hitting rev limiter damage cats???

When I speed shift, sometimes I will hit the rev limiter. Does hitting the rev limiter and dumping extra fuel down the pipes damage the cats?
Has anybody had a similar experience where there cats where damaged from rev limiter?

I am thinking about getting an o/r x pipe to replace my stock h pipe and then just swap back when I need to go through emissions.

Interesting.

I thought the rev limiter cut both spark and fuel, not just spark alone. Any effect would be minimal as that's what the cat is for is to burn off excess fuel, I mean % wise how much or u hitting the limiter compared to time spent not at the limiter? <0.00001%

If it does, my cats are trashed. I've hit the rev limiter on quite a few occasions.

Nice to know!
I speed shift everytime I take the car out and hit the limiter often enough where I had to ask. But apparently no one else has had a problem which is a good thing!

I cooked my stock cats after a couple seasons of drag racing, but that was with boost.

Stock cats are really tough. I was down a cylinder, WOT a few times and mine are still fine. I even removed the H-pipe to be sure.

I hooked my shop vac to the H-pipe, you'd be amazed at how much actual air can flow through the cats.

Traction control actually closes the throttle body I believe. I can't remember what I was doing, but I had my rear wheels off the ground and was trying to give it gas. The more I pressed the gas pedal, the lower the rpms went until it finally died. TC overrides your foot.
