Like Jehovah's witnesses! They want you to join the fold.

Have you ever done an oil analysis? I'd love to see yours after a few weekends at the track. How many runs do you do per oil change?

I've never done an analysis. I probably wouldn't like what I found, lol. I change the oil every six months. That's probably about 25-30 passes per oil change and a couple hundred street miles.

I've read some negatives on Royal Purple. I'll stay with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W20. It's a street oil so good Roger Penske uses it in his race cars.

I just use the motorcraft 5W20 semi-synth. car has over 50,000 miles, Over 20 track days, countless drag races and the weather is infernally hot all year 'round out here (Measured at 100.4 f on the track). Car is perfectly fine. I change it every 3,500 miles. Compression is top notch on all cylinders. Dyno'd at 315HP to the wheels with only a cai and Brenspeed tune. I've never been a fan of boutique oils. Consistently changing your oil at the recommended interval is more important than using exotic oils.

I only have RP in the diff because that's what came with the ring and pinion install kit, which by the way has started to whine after a year and I installed them myself with the proper tools and specs.

I like using the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum because it keeps the engines innards closer to factory clean. I plan on driving my 'Stang until one of us dies, so I don't mind spending a little more for the best oil.

Yup. Pennzoil is good, unfortunately it's no longer available in my country God knows why. I don't know who makes the Motorcraft oil but it's pretty good. Next oil change I'll have the oil analyzed and post the results.

I tried Royal Purple in my Harley one time, not long after adding it, my inner primary bearing went out. That was the last time I tried any of that purple stuff....

I am using the recommended 5W-20. However, I am using Royal Purple's API-licensed Motor Oil.
