Default Barton shifter

Howdy folks, I want to replace my shifter on my 2008 GT 5 speed, has anyone had any experiance with a Barton shifter?

Get the Barton if you want the "flat stick" and old school shift ****. I've used both and they're both good shifters.

Don't know how the shifter in your 5 speed stacks up against the flaws of the 6 speed in mine. You could possibly look at a Steeda Triax as another way. I know a lot of people here run them. Maybe they will chime in. To compare my stock shifter to the MGW is day light to dark. Ford's stock 6 speed mount really leaves a whole lot to be desired from. The MGW is solid and there is no mistake when changing gears were you are coming from and were you are heasded to gear wise.
