pissed that said sensor (under 15000 total on car) failed and my timing on the left side of the block advanced 50 degrees. car had 93 and meth inj nvr failed, boost a pump and fuel pressure both stayed good. car was turned down too, i wasnt making 700rwhp durring the time of failure, i made 637hp after dropping boost to keep the car together longer, i was running 10# boost nothing crazy. so what i learned, the value of data logging.
not pissed they wont warrantee the block, pissed they wont warranty the sensor.
Just because you got a code for a knock sensor, doesn't mean the knock sensor is bad.
I'd guess the knock sensor code has more to do with your rod failing, than an actual failed sensor. Why would a failed knock sensor cause your timing to advance 50 degress? The knock sensor is just a microphone.
You can't push that much power through a stock rod, it will fail eventually and it doesn't need detonation to do it. Your rods were probably all ready fatigued after the intial 700hp dyno run or your last 1/4 mile run. Post some pictures of the rods. I bet they were pulled apart as opposed to bent and broke.
