Default Is it possible to remove the over-axle pipes with the car on jackstands?

As part of my (apparently) ongoing header/etc project, I wanted to put in some small Magnaflow "Magnapacks" (10416) that I've had for almost a year to act as mid-mounted resonators. I cut the factory over the axle pipes and positioned the mufflers in there, which I had wanted to clamp in place...but, I'm having trouble getting things to fit that they won't hang down too low, and the pipe is less than 2 1/2" OD in places due to all the stupid little bends they put in there. So I may have to take them off and weld them.

So, let's say I were to position the mufflers as I want them, put a few tacks on there to hold everything in place and then try to drop out the over axle pipe assembly as a whole...is that possible with the suspension at full droop? I have the thing about 2 feet off the ground right now. I was hoping you could sort of twist the pipe around in such a manner that it would come out without too much finagling.

Yes, there is a bit of squeezing against the gas tank shields, but possible. I had a low profile jack, 14" of lift on the pumpkin. I also had to unbolt thpan hard bar brace, swaybar end links, and lower shock bolts to drop the axle a bit. you also have to pull down on it, but I got them in and out without too much fuss. with that 2 Foot drop you should be golden. Ididn't have that much on mine
