I am so incredibly annoyed about this issue right now. Ford "escalated" my complaint to the next level after verifying that there was an issue. The person at the next level did the exact same thing the first person did, which was call the dealership to confirm (great internal communication there, Ford.. the 2nd person had no details as to what was wrong).

That 2nd person then just called me to tell me the same thing the dealership did, that there's nothing wrong with my car because it tested in spec and there's nothing they would do about it. Her only suggestion was to go to another dealership to get a second opinion.

I explained to her that the noise is audible above normal radio levels, and I find it very distracting while driving and consider it a safety concern. She said well nothing is wrong with your car, so there's nothing I can do about it. Not even sending out a rep to take a look? I know full well GM would have sent someone out....

Default high pitched irritating whistle

yes! my heater blower assembly actuator/blender door was causing a ticking sound whenever the heat was turned on. Had repaired by dealer 1 month after purchase. Same part failed again, and there was a faint whistling noise. Actuator replaced again, no more ticking, now a louder very irritating high pitched whistle and my warranty expires tomorrow. very very irritating sound.

I've taken it to the dealership twice to complain about it, the first time they said there was no sound, the second time the service rep confirmed that he heard it too, and agreed that it was extremely irritating... but when they ran a diagnostic there were no excessive power draws so everything was in spec.

of course.. sound doesn't take much power, so of course it was in spec... they don't have a "spec" for audible noises so they said Ford won't do anything about it. The sound is so annoying I want to pull my hair out.

Has anyone else had the same issue or suggestions on what I can do? He told me to call Ford customer care and complain, but I think I need to be able to prove the sound is happening and is at an unacceptable frequency before I'll get anywhere...

Also, this car was built in the first week of production and has had a TON of issues already, so they shouldn't be surprised it's doing something weird...

Thanks,
Stu
