Default Different between intake/tuner combos

Hey guys, debating on both of these different popular CAI/Tuner combos from American Muscle. Can anyone tell me what the difference is? The first one gets better reviews then the second one, so if the first one offers more performance and is better I'll spend the extra $40 for it.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/airaid...er-0509gt.html

and then this one which I was going to buy:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-tunerkit-0509gt.html

Also, will there be a noticeable difference on the 'street' tune at 87 octane? Or will there only be a noticeable difference on the 'performance' tune at 91+ octane?

Most people I guess tune the car to the middle ground between the two?

The AM/BAMA tunes are what's important. The CAI is only about 20% of the total gain from the combo. But I'm not a fan of Air Raid CAI's so I'd say go with the JLT for no other reason.

Any of the 87 octane custom tunes should kick azz over the stock 87 tune. From there, the increase in power to the next 2 octane levels (whichever are available in your area) isn't quite as dramatic (from the custom 87 to the custom 89 and from the custom 89 to the custom 93, for instance). Overall, expect about 20-25 RWHP gain on the 4.6L with the higher octanes.

These are the top intakes for your Mustang, you'll be extremely happy with either of these options! You really can't go wrong when it comes to Airaid, JLT, SR performance etc.. Like listed above, majority of the power gains are going to be from the tune but the CAI definitely helps a lot!

The 87 Street tune will definitely be a noticeable difference over your stock tune. However, the 93 Octane tune will be a noticeable difference over your 87 octane tune! The higher the octane the more aggressive your tune can be.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Thanks for your input man.

Thanks! And so if I go with the second package, the JLT, do you know when your getting that back in stock? When I spoke with someone earlier this week they said it should be within a week.

I have the JLT kit from AM and highly recommend it. I only run the 93 race tune and have never tried the other tunes so I can't comment on tune differences.

The tune itself is the key here, and AM tunes & support are great.

I've had the JLT on my 07
and my dad has the Airaid on his 08

both work great.
the JLT was a little easier install, but both are very easy install.

Just to make this clear, not bashing American Muscle at all, but when a company endorses a certain product more *cough cough* "As seen on PROJECT CAR A/M website". Then usually you tend to see more reviews on said website that sells motorsports products; While saying that, "YES" you will see more "GOOD" reviews for AirRaids said product.
If you catch my drift???

But to answer your question, if it were me deciding, hands down JLT or C&L air intakes are probably the best out right now.
