Lindsay, When I ordered my 05 it took six months before i recieved it. I kept getting the run around from my Ford dealer but after I received her I realized the wait was worth it (at least the waiting part). Needless to say, I don't I don't service my car in that dealership.

Enjoy your car. Tell us the mods you have in mind and, of course, send some pics!

Hello, I'm new to this forum and i've been searching desperately for some answers. I just received my 2006 Mustang GT on Saturday (well I originally ordered a 2005 but let's just put it this way, I will never buy a ford again, I have been given the run around for the past 4 months), anways, Monday afternoon after I got home from work I parked the car and 10 minutes later I was leaving and it wouldn't start, it wouldn't even turn. I don't have the alarm installed yet, so it has nothing to do with that, and they say the battery is fine. I'm a girl and I know some stuff about cars but not enough about the new Mustangs. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it might be!?

~Lindsay~
Don't worry Lindsay, that's what a warranty is for. Just wait till you fill the gas tank up for the first time or put a cd in that skipper 500 or 1000 LOL.

You think you have it bad...got my car the first day and it was in the shop for the next 5 days because the steering rack needed to be replaced...and while it was there, I had them work on a bunch of TSB's like popping noises in the front strut assembly and firewall rattles etc. I essentially told them that if I was gonna fill out that stupid survey and give them good marks (their bonuses depend on it), that they were going to fix everything! I was pretty pissed at the time. But they took care of me and the car.

But it hasn't given me any issues since (knock on wood). That's the problem when Ford is rushing these cars out the door because of the high demand...you're gonna have a few issues.

Lindsay/others that learned of the fun that is fords ordering 'system' please pop over here, toss a vote, and some comments:

http://www.blueovalforums.com/index.php?showtopic=20232

similarly, anyone that learned of the inept 'customer service' department, and used 'Kzinti' for almost realtime info, please pop in here and vote in the poll and leave some comments:

http://www.blueovalforums.com/index.php?showtopic=20234

**anyone that hasnt heard about Kzinti(doubtful- but just in case), needs to go here:
http://www.blueovalforums.com/index.php?showtopic=19342 to see what he has done for so many ford buyers.

I plan on printing/binding up these threads and sending a few copies to some very 'higher ups' at ford... they got a great product with a really flawed distribution process...

Now, does Ford actually make the starter? Seems to me that something like that would be purchased from Ford.......

A Friend of mine bought an '05 GTO drove if for a couple days and a lot of the elctronics went haywire, he returned the car and for a full refund and ordered an '06 vette. He got the vette a couple days ago drove it 1.5 miles from the dealer and noticed the speedo and odometer weren't working. He brought the car back and they're ordering a new computer.
