Default 2006...2 days old, already in shop! HELP

Hello, I'm new to this forum and i've been searching desperately for some answers. I just received my 2006 Mustang GT on Saturday (well I originally ordered a 2005 but let's just put it this way, I will never buy a ford again, I have been given the run around for the past 4 months), anways, Monday afternoon after I got home from work I parked the car and 10 minutes later I was leaving and it wouldn't start, it wouldn't even turn. I don't have the alarm installed yet, so it has nothing to do with that, and they say the battery is fine. I'm a girl and I know some stuff about cars but not enough about the new Mustangs. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it might be!?

Just got a call back from Ford, I had a feeling it was the starter but who would have thought a 2 day old car would have a bad starter? Not I! Anyways that was the problem. Sorry about my tangent earlier, I've had a very bad experience with Ford and I probably will never buy another in my life...only if it's a '69.

I've been reading these and other forums for months and have not read of a similar problem. Read many other issues but not like yours. I'm sure it's going to be a simple fix.
I don't care what make you buy there is a potential for problems. All I've ever bought is Ford since 1985 and none has left me stranded yet. When you do get a chance to enjoy your Stang I think you will think different about Ford.

yeah there was probably a wire that wasn't soldered good or something small like that.....only thing I can think of that would go wrong in such a short amount of time. Unless it was broke when it left the factory

pics plz lol

Lindsay, I too waited forever till i finally got po'd and flew to Vegas and bought a GT off a lot down there, drove it home to minnesota. My local dealer that i have bought two other Fords from has been VERY good about taking care of my service needs, even though i bought the car elseware. So don't give up on Fords, just cause Ford hasn't got thier collective heads out of thier butts on allocations. The products are still very good as cars go, i have had good service from my 98 taurus, 2000 windstar, and 98 motorhome chassis! Some issues, but none enough to get me going. I build and race cars, and have a bit better understanding of engineering problems than a lot of folks. I am amazed that the cars are as troublefree as they are, given the complexity!!

Yea bluelms1228...

Just hang in there Girl. Ford ARE built by PEOPLE and people do screw up every now and then - and so, now and again you will get a car slip through with some obscure bug. Fords are good cars and you WILL LOVE your new mustang.

Sounds like you have gone about the same route as me. I had a 97 Taurus and a 2001 Windstar. I see the Kids must be a little older now. LOL

A Friend of mine bought an '05 GTO drove if for a couple days and a lot of the elctronics went haywire, he returned the car and for a full refund and ordered an '06 vette. He got the vette a couple days ago drove it 1.5 miles from the dealer and noticed the speedo and odometer weren't working. He brought the car back and they're ordering a new computer. I love my stang.....
