Default 05 GT gauges messed up

All my gauges have gone screwy. Pointing in the wrong direction and not functioning. Where should I start for diagnosing this problem? THANKS

I just had this same problem in my 05 GT. My tach servo went out and my coolant gauge was going out too. Dealer replaced the whole instrument cluster under my extended warranty. Otherwise it would have been $787.

Do a search on stepper motor failures. The 05's and early 06's have a chronic issue. You can get replacements cheap on ebay and there are even a few folks that will repair the cluster if you remove it and send it to them.

Common problem on the 05s and 06es.
One more reason to avoid the first
production year of a 'new' vehicle design.
eBay for the stepper motor.
Do a search on here for 'stepper' and
see whom else has had the same problem and
how they eventually solved it.
A $199 MSD DashHawk would display what
guages you want/need to see...

There's also a Part 2 and Part 3 that should appear in the video montage at the end of this one.
