I saw this on ebay and was woundering since you are not changing out the MAF would you need to flash your computer? Is this pretty much the same as a drop in K&N filter? I can't buy a cold air kit yet with, but was going to aleast do a K&N filter untill I saw this. Also would the HP gains be about the same as the K&N filter?

Don't bother with a drop in filter. Save your money...Except for the reuseability factor, you will gain next to nothing with an aftermarket drop in filter vs the paper filter (unless the paper filter is completely dirty and glogged)

Here read this...its on a different car, but same idea: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng18.shtml

A cone filter like in the ebay link will give you more, but you really should get a tune to get the most power out of it

and here's an article on the vapor trap (hydrocarbon filter) in the intake (if your car came with it installed):

Listen there are proven better options out there like the C&L, Steeda and others. There a bit more costly, but well worth the money. After all, your car is worth it, right?

I bought one of these and put it on my car. It runs better but the check engine light comes on probably because I don't have a tuner yet. Can anybody tell me if a tuner for an 05 will work on my 06?
