Default Is this worth buying??? cold air intake

I saw this on ebay and was woundering since you are not changing out the MAF would you need to flash your computer? Is this pretty much the same as a drop in K&N filter? I can't buy a cold air kit yet with, but was going to aleast do a K&N filter untill I saw this. Also would the HP gains be about the same as the K&N filter?

You will NEVER see 20hp from a filter change. Even a tuned intake won't give you that kind of gain. 90% of the CAI's our there are good for maybe 2-3hp tops including K&N. Save your money, remove the carbon trap in the intake and get a flash tunner. The trap removal and tune will give you about 10-15hp at the crank on the 05/06 Mustang GT.

I'm new to FORD and have had chevy's all my life. What is the carbon trap? in the air box? also should I just get a drop in filter and do the mod that you are speaking about? Thanks Dan

I just bought mine 2wks ago. It was ordered for someone and not sold, so I guess I should look at the built date in the door jam right? If it's been built 2-4 mos agao I should be ok? If not where is the carbon filter located?
