Default Micro Relay Fuse?

I recently installed the roush bumper and wired the roush fogs in line with the stock fogs. So, when I turn on my fog switch, all the fogs turn on. Only thing is the power is a little dim since its 4 lights vs 2. I wanted to try and double the fuse rating for the fog lights and see if its just a low power issue.

According to the manual, Slot 30 is the Fog Lamps, and the Fuse is a Micro Relay.

Well, how am i suppose to know what amperage the relay is at, or does it not work like a traditional fuse? Id like to allow more power to flow through the harness but im not sure what to update the micro relay with.

Default RE: Micro Relay Fuse?

you say "in-line"....that sounds like, in series

i'm not 100% sure, but you may want to wire them
in parallel, so they all get 12vdc across them.

someone (maybe db, will correct me if i'm on the
wrong track here)

here's what it would look like in parallel

Default RE: Micro Relay Fuse?

I actually used the part of the roush harness that gets the power from the stock fog connections, Each fog powers 1 light. Its basically an adaptor that you plug the stock fog light power plug into, to recieve power. Then it just branches off 2 power wires and 2 ground wires into 2 seperate fog light connectors. So I can power the ford fog lights, and Roush Fog lights with the same source of power.

In the drawing you supplied. Assume C152 and C162 are the power connectors for your stock fog lights. This dummy female end of the plug from the new harnessgoes into C152, and then creates two male ends of the plug (1 for the Left stock fog light, and 1 for the left Roush Fog light) The same thing is done on C162.

There are 2 independant lines run, 1 for each side of the fogs.

Let me know if somthing doesnt make sense, and i appreciate the help =)

ok, i see....good explanation by the
way, it sounds like they are in
parallel after all.

now, how to make them brighter? this
is a good one. i don't think changing the
fuse capacity or relay, will make a difference.

maybe changing the bulb type is the key?
i'll be interested to see how you solve the
brightness issue

Default Micro Relay for 2005 fog Lamps Question

My fog lamps do not work on my recently purchased '05 GT. I understand the headlights must be on then you pull the switch out. But they don't come on. I am wondering if this is a common problem. Would switching the fog lamp micro relay with one of the other same relays (headlight for example) be a good way to trouble shoot whether it is the relay? Or might there be another obvious problem and/or solution I am overlooking.
I'm still a newbie here and can't find where to post a new thread only reply. I did a couple of months ago but don't see it now. Thanks for any replies!!!!
