Default M-6007-M50 crate who has best price?

Finally ready to take the plunge and buy my new motor this week I've searched for a few months and calculated my forum discounts but even with those most are above 6000 unless I have them price match lowest price I've found. Wish I could find a Summit 10% off.

AM is always having sales, have you checked them out? What about Tousley Ford? Did you call them?

Thanks yes I talked to them they are now Auto Nation White Bear Ford, AM even with forum discount is higher than a few others. If I could find one of those Summit racing 10% discount I'd be golden. I pretty much have to order today so motor will get here before I have to go back to teaching in sept. I think there is very little wiggle room on price not much profit on it as it is shipped direct from ford. Too bad ford won't sponsor my build

There is very little wiggle room. Good thing FRPP offers free ground shipping for items over $1,800 cost. What are you going to dress the block with?

I don't know if you would consider a used Coyote engine, but salvage yards do have them in running condition for around $4000 a piece.

These are exactly like the -M50 engines, or some of salvaged Coyotes come from F150 (the only difference is the cams).

The benefit of purchasing a salvaged -M50 Coyote is that you can rebuild it with true forged parts.
A true forged set of H-beam conrods and forged pistons can be had for under $1600.

Add better bolts (ARPs for example), add a billet oil pump, upgrade the valve springs, and by the time you are done, you will basically have an Aluminator Coyote.

If you are smart and shop around for good machine shops and engine building services, you should come significantly under the $8300 price it would cost to buy a brand new Aluminator Coyote outright.

Thanks jim I had looked into that but in NY most 5.0 were 4K and up for a salvage Crate motor was 5800 with two year warranty. Have it sitting in the truck just trying to find all the odds and ends to make it run looking for a coolant bottle and hoses now.

Yes I bought the control pack back in February, at that point I was going to use a salvage motor, a yard near me had one, but we had never used that yard and they didn't want to give us any discount plus they had all kinds of add on fees like a core charge.

I paid $1325 for control pack but was not easy to get that price.

As far as dressing the block, I'd love to go with a boss intake more for looks but want to get it up and running first, I'll probably buy one of the take off coil covers and intake cover. I have a cool idea to customize the coil covers.
