I can go find a '12 5.0 with under 10K miles for around $21k. they're everywhere. If you're really smart you'll wait a few months until the '15s hit the showroom and you'll have dealerships BEGGING you to take previous years used & new off their hands.
Not exactly... local dealer offered me 16.5K as a trade-in for my 08 as it stands even with the front bumper orange peeling. That means they plan on retailing it for 21-22K.

I have 55K on the odometer.

Where you live has a huge impact on how much the car is worth...

Southwest, these types of cars fair better because the driving season is way longer than say the Midwest/East/Mountain where you get rain and snow seasonally... and some people even put their nice cars away for the winter...

Everywhere? Not here. And the WILL NOT be begging anyone to take previous years from them. The only begging that went on was when dealers got hemmed up with Yugos.

To the OP, I still think a 2010 is the best by right now if you don't have to have a 5.0. I say this cause there are many out there, due to the new body in 09, BUT then the 5.0 came out. This dropped the desirability of the car then the price followed. This is why I got a '10 several weeks ago. Shopping for a 2010 keeps you in the catbird seat. My car was under 20k w/ 14k. My car is honestly, like new.

Over 20 years in the industry here.
