is the risk of a tune+cai worth the power gain?

is the risk of a tune+cai worth the power gain?
I've been considering a cai+tune and I know bama has millions of satisfied customers, but also have read a few cases where a mis-written tune caused engine damage that valued at over 10k$ to repair!
And even on these forums I seen a lot of threads about people running into problems with aftermarket tunes....however I really am craving some extra power and it seems cai+tune is most bang for buck, and every other mod pretty much requires a tune as well.
I got this car at a great price and I don't make a lot of money at all, and I feel like I'm in a "don't rock the boat" situation, things are going pretty good for me and I would die if the tune some how ruined my car and its not under any warranty and insurance wouldn't pay to fix it either

also i bought my car used with 40k miles and i 'think' everything is stock...is there anyway to find out what the 19 questions bama asks and get the car checked by a mechanic to make sure i can answer them right? i dont want to answer something wrong nad get a messed up tune, ie: i think my exhaust is aftermarket, but i have no idea what brand or anything and theres no logo or label anywhere on the mufflers, tips, pypes, or anything.

Reward far exceeds the risk. I know of some bad tunes but haven't heard of any in years that toasted an engine. As for the questions, mufflers don't matter. Now if you have long tubes or an off road mid pipe or air intake cams heads CMDP's or gears that.s important to know. And easy to figure out.

Just bc an advertisement says the particular part will add 10 hp. It's not always that clear cut. CAI and tune will net you about 25. Understand that your 4.6 is only putting down about 265 to the pavement. I know a member suggested to get a Dyno run for the CAI and tune but that is a huge waste of money to even consider it. If u plan on staying NA then headers and cams get you about 30, you would need a gear swap, and u could cut parasitic drag by replacing drive shaft and pullies. Don't over think a CAI and tune. I personally think brenspeed is the way to go but you get a ton of opinions

because hp to the crank is usually more than hp to the wheels. and mods usually say add x amount of hp to the wheels, so i thought it would add more to the crank (there is some power loss through the drivetrain which causes crank hp to be more)
