failed inspection
Purchased a 2007 mustang with only 3500 miles on it. The previous put a new battery in it when I purchased it. The only engine Mod was a C&L CAI. I took it to inspection (NJ) it failed for OX sensors not ready. I drove it over 100 miles it still failed. I decided to restore the Factory tune. I able to do it with the C&L CAI without running lean. Than I drove it 300 miles now it failed OX sensor not ready, evaporative system not ready and Catalytic converters not ready. I hate to take to a dealer I'm afraid they will make a major project of it. The research I did, states they should reset in 100 miles.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem or has any input what I could do next.

I go through every year as I have to change my calibration since I run a custom exhaust. I can typically get all my sensors to comply in around 20 miles. I go to Auto Zone and rent there device to monitor all the inputs to ensure they are set to ready, then go immediately to get the car inspected.

OK this is frustrating! I followed zipper head outline to the "T". The sensors still indicate "not ready". The car runs fine. I did install a 4:10 rear but I don't see how could that affect the sensor? The only other mod is axle back mufflers. Its been 500 miles since i restored the original tune and put the restrictor in the CAI for stock tune. Is it possible there is a computer problem? No error codes come up on the scanner.

Readiness for Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) testing
In some localities, it may be a legal requirement to pass an I/M test of
the on-board diagnostics system. If the indicator is on, refer to the
description in the Warning lights and chimes section of the
Instrument Cluster chapter. Your vehicle may not pass the I/M test with
the indicator on.
If the vehicle’s powertrain system or its battery has just been serviced,
the on-board diagnostics system is reset to a “not ready for I/M test”
condition. To ready the on-board diagnostics system for I/M testing, a
minimum of 30 minutes of city and highway driving is necessary as
described below:
• First, at least 10 minutes of driving on an expressway or highway.
• Next, at least 20 minutes driving in stop-and-go, city-type traffic with
at least four idle periods.
Allow the vehicle to sit for at least eight hours without starting the
engine. Then, start the engine and complete the above driving cycle. The
engine must warm up to its normal operating temperature. Once started,
do not turn off the engine until the above driving cycle is complete
