I was doing an oil change on my 2006 GT 'vert with 120K miles on it today. While giving it a once over inspection while I had her in the air I discovered these two square bar type things. I would guess they are some sort of body stiffeners. I saw the one on the passenger side is rusted pretty bad. I have the Ford factory manual and I couldn't find any reference to them. I am attaching pictures in hopes somebody can tell me what they are, and exactly what they're called and maybe where can I get new ones. Thanks in advance

Those are the Convertible subframe connectors or crossmembers as they are called in the Ford parts diagrams
TOO much rust under there dude.
how can you let it get like that? i would clean it up and spray some underseal under there..
mine is in factory condition underneath
Nice condition Rudolf, I like the tile floor too. I have an 06 GT garage queen with 12k miles on it that's never seen rain or inclement weather, the underside is very clean. Enjoy
cheers lads.
that's an old picture..it's way cleaner now..so clean underneath i can never be caught in rain as it will take me weeks to get it back how it is..
Sorry, but my car, like me, works for a living. She's a DD and I drive her all year round. I take super good care of her, but not to detailing the underneath.

Same here. I'd have to be retired and a lot more **** to keep the underside clean enough to reduce or prevent oxidation. And with 4 cars, a boat and 4 dogs on 6 1/2 acres, I have plenty to keep me busy.
