Default rear tires for Drag racing 2014 gt

Ok this is for guys that are hitting the dragstrip. What is the best rear Et drag tire or Drag radial combo you guys have found for the Mustang? Gonna be ordering my rear suspension upgrades soon. and looking at what size tire and rim combo should work best. Any suggestions will Help. ;-)

UPR suspension and 275/60-15 M/T ET Street Radial Pro. We're pulling 1.3 60-foot times with our full weight street cars.

Does that same tire size apply for the 05-09 as well? I've been thinking I might like to hit the strip some...

Slick for stick, radial for auto.....I'm on a 28X10X16 Hoosier slick, On 00 Mustang 16" wheels, on a Roush upper and Brembo springs, shocks and bars. Works fine and is easier on the driveline than a radial. I have 3.73s and an MT-82. 11 sec 1/4s as it sits.

Yes, the 275/60-15 Radial Pro fits nicely on 05-09s.

That's on a 15x8 wheel, correct? Will any wheel work (assuming proper offset/bolt pattern)? Just curious because the Race Stars are pretty expensive. Is there something that makes them special?

Offsets unique to S197 but, yeah 15x8 will go over the brakes. I haven't hit with a 10 inch tire on the 00 Mustang wheels but it is fairly offset and it's at the limit, I'd say.

Race Stars are dirt cheap as far as dedicated bolt-on drag rims go for S197s.

There are street legal slicks. I run Hoosier QTPs. They're available in the size you want.
