To my knowledge which is not as much on the s197 as a new edge they are internal. From what I've read you will have to have a dealer program the radio. Might get by without it though.

haha they charged you not to fix your radio. i wouold of said no charge if i couldnt fix it. or or no charge for the diag. and replaced the head unit.

Yes it will, Infact there is an OBD code for it P0605 or P0650 one of those states "An attempt has been made to recalibrate this ECM" and then has a few PPT's to try and fix the concern.
