Default How to completely drain my brake fluid resovoir!

Is there any way I can completely drain my brake fluid resovoir. I use one of those turkey basters to remove the fluid out but there seems to be something that prevents me from putting it all the way in What can I do to completely get it in there, in order to remove ALL of the dirty fluid, poor fresh fluid in, and bleed the system while continuing to add new brake fluid.

I don't think your basting technique is really required. Just start bleeding the brakes. You will easily be able to flush all the old fluid out while replacing with fresh. Don't forget there is an ABS manifold with valves and stuff that you will be unable to flush without the proper tool to enable the valves. You need to take it to a dealer for that procedure. I wouldn't bother because they probably wouldn't go to that extreme anyway. Be careful not to get air in the lines because if you have a clutch, your hydraulics are shared with the brake reservoir as well.

When I did this I was in the process of changing rotors, pads, and lines. I used the turkey baster and got what I could and while changing my lines out I bleed the brakes, while doing that I was adding new fluid, I used to bottles to make sure I got most of it out. Do not ever run your mastercylinder dry it could be a PITA. Just keep a good eye on the level and it goes smoothly
