Help, Snapped clip off throttle body sensor

I've been returning my Mustang back to stock in preparation to put it up for sale. Over the weekend I removed my intake and CMCV delete plates. While I was putting everything back together, the last sensor I was reconnecting was the throttle body sensor. As I was pushing the connector back in, I saw a little piece of plastic shoot off. It was the little locking arm from inside the connector, the side that comes off the wiring harness.

The sensor will stay in place, but it will pop off with little effort. I'm really not sure what I can do at this point.

I would suggest going to a picknpull place and looking for a V8 mustang or truck and cutting the connector off (get 2 just in case) then you can take apart the broke one, remove wires and reinstall into used clip. I just did this with injector and COP clips as they did the same thing, I got the Lisle 56500 tool to help remove the wires from connector. or you can just use a zip tie to hold it in place. good luck

I had this happened and I used really small straps to keep in place. I drove it my local dealer who has treated me good. Fixed her up on the spot. Not sure how much it was but not much

I had this happen recently too...zip tie ftw.

A small black zip tie will do. Just inconvenient if you need to take it off again but if you're selling it. Let the next owner deal with it.

You can get it from Motorcraft. Splice it in and throw heat shrink over the connection.

It is $20 cheaper from Rockauto. I'd get it and do it right instead of zip ties.

That's what I'm doing. The part I needed was actually WPT-948. Now I just have to brush up on my soldering skills.

I called around to a bunch of parts yards and none of them was going to let me cut into the wiring harnesses. Kinda stupid, but oh well.
