Default Dropping the rear control arms...

I have Spohn lowers on my car (basically identical to all other tubular non-adjustable lowers) and also Spohn bolt-on relocation brackets (almost exactly the same as BMR's).

Last year I had a couple "oops" incidents where I dropped a tire off the pavement and the brackets hit the ground, and I noticed while under the car that the brackets had shifted slightly.

I had planned to drop the arms and weld the brackets to the axle before I started driving the car again, but with everything loosened on both sides I couldn't find that "slack point" where the lower arm bolts would just slide out. I could see a gap between the control arm bushing and the relocation bracket so I know it was loose enough to come apart, but I didn't want to turn the bolt all the way out as I've boogered up bolts doing that before. The bolt did turn easy, but wouldn't just pull out. I didn't really have enough time to mess with it at that point so I just tightened everything back up so I could drive the car.

Now, I haven't had the control arms apart since I installed everything a couple years ago. Am I experiencing some binding due to the panhard bar, do I have to drop it to get everything to where I can pull it apart?

Nobody has any input on this? I just wanna know what's introducing the bind here. I'm assuming it's the panhard bar but I only adjusted it back to center.

Hard to imagine the panhard bar is causing the binding. You must have tweaked them when you drove off the road and banged on them.

When I need ti find that 'loosest' spot, i raise/lower the rear end pumpkin with a jack. Usually, it's pretty-lowest down.
For the lca's, the might not get 100% free, unless you disconnect the shocks, too (not advisable if you don't have to).

I had the jack under the pumpkin...usually that "spot" is right near the bottom.

Guess I might just have to pull the brackets off with the control arms and then figure it out when I put it all back together.

Yeah, with the damage, you might have some issues removing them that you otherwise would not have.

There really isn't any "damage"...the brackets are stout, it just scraped up the bottoms. They don't even look bent.
