RE: 3.90's or 4.10's
in reply to both of you,,
i noticed some difference in sound and i noticed my car shifted harder , i had to adjust the way i was shifting slightly , but i think thats because of the tune i installed, you know you have to get a tune if you buy an intake, i wont push it on you but i like it nothing crazy though.
to change the gears you have to buy gears then go to a mechanic to install them. afterwards im not sure but i think you then have to tune your car to your new gear ratios.

RE: 3.90's or 4.10's
So from all that i have seen here it sounds like even for daily driver
Auto=3.90
Manual=4.10
But I have not seen any comments on top end.
With 3.90 in an auto what kinda of top speed you able to achive and i guess same question for you manual owner with 4.10's
I have taken the 3.30 in pony "stock" to 144mph and it got there pretty darn fast if i get some 3.90 or 4.10's in there will i be
red line at 120 or less.

RE: 3.90's or 4.10's
there is an easy way to calulate cruise rpm or top speed when changing only one variable such as a rear gear.
old gear/new gear= percent change
percent x old mph@ Z rpm= new mph @ Z rpm
if you are changing tires its kinda backwards
new tire dia/old tire dia=percent change
old gear/new gear= percent change
percent x old mph@ Z rpm= new mph @ Z rpm
if you are changing tires its kinda backwards
new tire dia/old tire dia=percent change
