Default Stupid question inside on oil changes...

I just bought a new Mustang and now I have some questions on oil changes. First, how many miles before I should get my first oil change? What kind of oil would you guys recommend? Synthetic or conventional?

I've never owned a performance car let alone broken one in before, and this is my dream car so I want to treat it right!

use the factory recommended oil, and change it when either the manual says to, or when the oil life monitor says to.

If I remember correctly, I did my first change at 1k miles with conventional oil. Then again at 6-7k miles on conventional just to hold me over til the 10k miles mark. Once I hit 10k miles I switched to synthetic and ever since then I've been changing oil every 10k miles with Mobile 1 and a Motorcraft filter. 155k miles on the car now with 0 issues.
