Default Strut Tower Brace?

I just bought my GT new of the lot and is pretty much a striped down version without a strut tower brace. Would a strut tower brave really benighted me in the handling department? Is the stock style brave worth a damn or should I set my sights higher on a Steeda or Ford Racing brace?

All I've heard indicates that they are really more for looks than really helpful handling-wise. IMO, there are a lot better mods to spend money on.

I put a strut tower brace on my '06 GT 'vert. I think it helped. It will probably help a 'vert more than it would a coup.

i noticed slight improvement on rough surface road '' IE on\off ramps'' where i tend to get on the gas.
i scored mine at a swap meet for 35 bucks, i would not spent any more than 50 for one, not a BIG enough improvement.

I think I'm going to sit back and drive the car as is for now and maybe ask my wife for lowering springs and a sway bar for Christmas.
