Go through each piece of the rear suspension. You find it. I did this several times with my car.

I have this same problem with my 2012. When i take off it sounds like something is hitting on the passengers side rear axle. it also happens when I'm on second and i hit the gas a bit, sometimes in third too. its driving me nuts. i took it to a shop they couldn't find anything wrong with it

Hi kristianduni1,

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha with Ford Service and I recommend you also have your dealer check it out and speak to your service manager. He is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed. Also, remember most repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty.

You can schedule an appointment online here. Let me know the outcome.

Deysha

Does your Pan hard bar have greasable bearings?? If I don't add grease every 6 months to a year I get a banging noise from the rear end.

If the location of the knock/bang or whatever was closer to the middle, I would say check your transmission mount.

I have a 2014 Mustang GT with same issue. With mine it was the sway bar bushings. You can go underneath your car and pound on your sway bar and you will hear it.
