Pricing for brand new 2014 GT Premium
Hi all, my friend is looking for a new car and found one at a dealer with MSRP listed at $38,600. Automatic, ruby red, GPS navi, rear view camera, and Shaker Pro. With the 2015 in, I was curious if anyone could guesstimate what he could realistically deal down to. I'm thinking low $30s? Last year at this exact time of the year I bought my '14 GT Premium for around $35,500 out the door. A few weeks ago I remember reading someone's post (I'm going nuts trying to find it) that they had just bought a '14 for around $32k out the door. I remember being jealous at that price.

My 2015 Ruby Red GT premium stickered for $110 more than that. Unless that dealer is extremely desperate to make money, with rebates and incentives, I'd see no problem getting that car down to, no more than, $32k, give or take, a few $$$

Yeah, I wasn't saying to get a '15, but that the dealer would be nuts to think someone's going to pay full price for last years model when they could get the all new model for the same price. I'm from Pa, but I remember looking on Simmons rockwell's website, from New York, a good while ago, at new '13-'14 GTs, and they had some that stickered for $40k+, but we're advertising them for around $32k. Some premiums were under $30k. They are out there. Just gotta keep looking.

Wow, I am again jealous at those '14 prices. I was searching on the "YourSouthernCaliforniaFord" inventory and based on the search results, '14s look scarce. Not sure how updated Ford keeps this with the specific dealer's actual inventory though. I used it last year when I was shopping around and it seemed pretty accurate compared to when I actually went to the dealers and looked around. It was hard enough trying to find what I wanted last year with '14s in full production, so I imagine now it might be harder to get certain options/colors on a given person's wishlist.

The local ford dealer by me still has a leftover 2014 premium GT, with leather Recaros and track pack, for $34,995. The sticker was over $41k. With rebates, incentives and instant savings, your friend should be able to get a new leftover for at least $6-7k off sticker, unless the dealer wants to keep them forever lol.

I purchased a base package (upholstered seats, base stereo) '14 GT w/the track pack in September, right before the '15's were released. While I will not publicly announce the price I paid, let's just say I got a pretty good deal, well below sticker price. They also gave me far more for my trade-in, an '08 Bullitt, than I expected. I think I coulda dragged out negotiations a bit more & gotten 'em down another grand but it had been a long day & I wanted the deal done in an amicable fashion. We all walked away as friends.
There are always deals to be had. You gotta want to look for them & spend the time to do the deal & walk away if necessary.
