Default Questions Regarding Remote Lock Issue

Greetings...I'm unsure if this is the right spot to post this (my apologies if it isn't)...Anyway, my Mustang will will not lock/unlock using the remote option. (Everything else works; i..e, trunk, panic and setting alarm). Of course, I now have to manually push down the locks as a result.

After perusing a few other sites, I've come to find the door lock actuators apparently need replaced--would this be correct (or typical culprit of this problem)?

If so, could anyone give me a ballpark figure as to how much something like this would cost? I have a basic understanding and some experience with certain repairs and cost, but not this. Thanks in advance for any help!

The lock/unlock buttons on the car doors don't work, either...

sounds like the fob/remote is bad, if the car will pick up on the signal to open the trunk, it should be lock/unlock. i would try replacing the fob, or at least the battery. maybe its getting weak

Ok...But then what about the door lock/unlock buttons not working either? Wouldn't this equate to something also being wrong or needing replaced within the doors themselves?

oops, sorry misread it was late lol. i correct my self, it could be a fuse, a module, switch, actuator, or wiring issue. i would have a good tech diag it so you dont waste time and money throwing parts at it.

It could be something simple. I, also, would check fuses and for any wiring issues before getting too crazy with things.
