GT500 KR Sway Bar

Is the GT500 KR sway bar the same as the regular GT bar and does it have stiffer bushings?

it will mount up however I would upgrade to 34mm poly sway bar bushings. it is made of slightly thicker metal and weighs about 2 lbs more than the stock gt sway bar, hence its quite stiffer.

How do you upgrade the bushings when they aren't meant to be removed on these style bars?

if it came with bushings already installed then you should be good. if they are rubber then they should last a while. if you upgrade to poly bushings, just cut the rubber ones off and slide on the poly. they are cut so you can get them on. poly bushings need special grease but it should be included. good luck

Which bar doesn't have removable bushings?

Every bar I've ever seen, they are removable. Just sometimes, like the S197 bars you have to remove the bar to get the OEM bushing on/off because they are not split.

They are glued onto the bar and sort of locked in by the bracket with metal tabs so it is one whole assembly. At least on my 2012 5.0. Since they are non removable technically there are no poly bushings for the stock bracket.

hmmm...ford shows them as replaceable.

Although that looks like rear? The ones that were specifically marked as fronts had 'no data' available when you click on the part in the image even though it shows them apart... IDK
