2014 GT 6 speed rear end whine/howl
I have a whine/howling sound coming from the rear end that becomes present around 60 mph or so. You can't really hear it over the radio, but I don't know if it's just normal or if it's a problem I should get looked into. I know this is a noisy car with clunky gears shifting, etc. but this seemed like an odd sound to me. I found a few youtube videos people recorded with the same noise. Does anyone else experience this and is it normal or indicative of a problem?

If all '11-14 GTs with the MT82 gearbox made the same noise, I'd say it was normal but I doubt that's the case. The noise almost sounds like a supercharger whine and if it's coming from the transmission itself, the most likely source is the input shaft bearing.

My 2012 sounds the same, and has sounded that way since new in 2011 and I haven't had any issues. My dealer told me it was normal, and we even drove 2 other GT's on the lot and they sounded the same. I have factory 3.55 gears in my GT.
It did become a bit more noticeable once I lowered the car, but I'm assuming that because the rear end is now 1.5 inches closer to the body of the car.

I have this same whine in my 2013 mustang gt with 3.73, just changed rear axle fluid , didn't help. This noise started after I raced a 1/4 mile with slicks. Im thinking maybe pinion is out, or have to replace driveshaft. I don't believe its normal because the car has 9000 kms and was had no noise issues until launching with slicks.
