Outdoor Storage

Outdoor Storage
So my wife is looking for Xmas suggestions and I told her I need a new car cover. I live in Wisconsin and store the car in the garage during the winter under a single layer car cover. The mice finally got to it last year and it's been starting to shred for a couple before that. Looking for a new one on-line I see one company sells a 5 layer cover for outside use they say can protect your car from rain, snow, sleet etc. Has anyone here done this? It would be nice to park the truck in the garage in the winter so I don't have to scrape etc. I don't have room for three cars and storage around here runs about $100 a month. If these really do the job it would be nice to try.
Just looking to tap into anyone's real world experience.
Thanks.

I've been using car covers since the day I bought my car. Unfortunately due to my home business, I am unable to store my car in my garage. In order to keep the paint from fading, getting bird doo, tree sap and dust, I bought an Evolution 4 custom car cover from www.autoanything.com. It does come with a 4 year warranty. When picking a car cover, look for a warranty of at least 4 years. Because you plan on keeping it outside the material will start to breakdown in about 4-6 months. Meaning, when you take the cover off, there will be a residue kind of like powder (but it is harmless) left on the car. When that happens, I contact the seller and send it back for a new one. That goes on for 4 years. Is it possible to purchase a carport? In my opinion, the car cover would last longer and do your car justice if you could park it under a car port with a cover on it. As soon as I can get my business sold, my car is going in the garage.....with a cover on.

Thank you for this thread; this cover is exactly what I was looking for. I found a nice one on the Auto Zone site, it is a little cheaper, but the warranty is only for three months. Not long enough. This one looks great, thanks.
