Do I have the Fastest STOCK '05 Mustang GT???
Yesterday at Maryland International Raceway, my 100% stock, completely unaltered, showroom-condition 'Stang went 13.28 at 101.7x mph!!! It even had the jack, spare, floor mats, and some camping and softball stuff in the trunk! There may be claims of faster Stock '05's, but usually they take out everything, remove the air filter, etc. Mine is FACTORY!
13.28 is DAMN fast for stock. Is it the fastest?
My previous runs were about the same mph, just a slower start. Wind can make a huge difference in mph, as can engine temp, and a dozen other factors.
We had a warm track (bright sunlight), cool, dry 60's air, lots of dragsters and 7-8 second cars making passes (keeping the track sticky), and a very slight tailwind. I also slightly shortshifted while powershifting, which hurts mph but prevents flashing into the rev limiter. I don't think it would have mattered---I was shifting extremely quickly.
I've gotten stellar times out of lots of different cars. When you only weigh 150, and KNOW how to drive (maximize ET), it becomes possible.
My full-weight '91 GT convertible went 13.8's with 3.55's, exhaust, and a home-made ram air (on regular radials).
My '88 Turbo Coupe went 13.62 on a nearly stock 150k motor (stock older T3 turbo, slight head porting by a ripoff artist) by unhooking the exhaust and running 20 psi through a Conquest intercooler (on regular radials).
My S-Trimmed Crown Vic went 12.59 at 109.78 on SP5000's---again, regular radials!
My '87 Stang coupe went 10.62 at 129.9, despite being out of tune and needing a converter, on street tires (ET Streets).
I could keep going---I've been drag racing for about 12 years. You learn a thing or two along the way...

HEY SPEEDYCOP, WHERE ARE YOU FROM? im from frederick and i raced at mason dixon, the first time at the track was a 13.53 but my sixty foot was only 1.96 launching at roughly around 3k...i think thats all i could go without spinning cause it was cloudy and cold and windy when i went... MIR is one of the best tracks on the east coast as far as grip and surface quality, truckloads of traction.. i kinda wanted to run there one weekend but its like 2 hours from here i think... i also wanted to go down there last tuesday because they were filming an episode of PINKS there but i didnt get a chance to go... my friends 91 mustang 1/8 mile car went 5.6 in the eighth there sprayin a 300 shot of the line on 10 inch wide slicks. mir is king of traction.

oh yeah and i weigh roughly 240lbs and we were racing into a gusty headwind... thats one of two thing i dont like about mason dixon is the bump when you leave the concrete pad and if the winds blowing its always a headwind there cause of the mountain... you should pm me and maybe ill get some people to go to mir and race again before they close..
