Greetings - I've read the instructions from multiple sources, and the darned thing still won't come loose on my '07 GT. (It has some scratches and I want to repaint the top half). I removed the 2 nuts in the little compartment where the piece of carpet is. I removed the 2 screws on top in the rear. After removing the shift **** and boot, I removed the 2 small hex bolts that are inside "up front and on each side". I lift up from the rear as instructed, and it is still somehow attached up front. I looked and it appears there are clips holding it where the hex bolts were. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks - Yes - I saw the schematic. I got it off finally. I watched a video and the guy just gently lifted it off. I ended up standing in the back using a prying tool and it came loose. Evidently, mine was a really tight fit.

Seems like I remember about the same when I pulled mine up to do sound matting... but I think I initially didn't see the nuts near the back and then went to find the schematics to see what I was missing.
