Default 170* thermostat vs. OEM 195* thermostat

Is there any chance that a 2014 with minor mods (longtubes, CAI, tune) would be a MORE consistent bracket car at 170* than with the OEM 195* thermostat?

That's a good question. Consistency is the key along with keeping up with weather. You might look into racing programs with automatic weather adjustments to be more competitive.
