Installed new drilled & slotted rotors...but WTF?`

The smaller ones weren't on there long enough to matter. The new correct sized ones work perfectly and the pads don't overlap the rotors.

Much better, with 100% of the pads in contact with the rotor the pedal feel is much smoother and the car stops with more force.
Happy as can be. Tossed those old smaller ones in the metal scrap bin.

Glad that it just didn't look right to you and that you didn't hesitate to ask.

Holding the new piece up against the old piece is a good habit to get into just to get a quick and dirty idea if the new piece is going to fit up the same as the old one did. Chances are that a mail-order or online-order place isn't going to want to cover for having the wrong ones shipped back, but you should be able to return & exchange something like rotors if you got them at a brick and mortar store. For online shopping, always double-check the measurements in the description against what your car's piece measures (here, that would be rotor diameter and thickness as well as car fitment).
