So a friend of a friend has a pypes pipe bomb exhaust that was for 2011-14 stangs and he swears they will fit my 2010 gt. Anyone able to verify if this is true or false before I piss away some cash?

The mounting points are different between 2011-14 and 2010. Plus the 2011-14 uses a ball and socket type of connection to the mid pipes that you don't have on the 2010.

So no, it is not a direct fit. You can make it work, but there is some fabrication needed to do so.
