Insurance companies will write off the vehicle if the repair cost is more than 70% of the value of the car. This means that older cars are more likely to be written off.
Labor is the biggest cost when it comes to repairs, and that'll be very high if there's frame damage. You could have the car towed to a repair shop to get a rough estimate and take it from there.

I'm late to posting a pic of the wheel damage.... my apologies. Been going round and round with insurance, so I've been trying to put it out of my mind when I'm not getting pissed arguing.

That may be repairable.

You can get damage like that from brushing up against a curb. By that I mean it doesn't really convey what all other damage could've occurred.

A couple of pics further away to get some perspective on how offset (pushed under the fender) the axle looks or from behind the car and under the bumper towards the axle to see if anything looks bent.

The wheel definitely looks repairable but I don't know about the rest of the car at this stage.
