Transmission question.

2006 GT automatic with 4.10 frpp gears. I haven't had this issue since having the gears installed coming from 3.73 gears.

Car won't shift out of first gear.. It will rev all the way up, then once I let off the gas sometimes it will shift but it jerks the vehicle very badly. The O/D light is flashing also but goes away after I turn the car off and on.

This happens very randomly and seems like more often during colder weather. It doesn't happen every time.

My friend has the same ride as me, he said his done the same thing and it ended up being a solenoid that needed replacing.

Anyone else ever experienced this?

Blinking O/D light is basically a CEL for the Transmission; there is a fault
with the transmission.

If you went from 3.73 to 4.10 and did not use a tuner to change the gear ratio,
then that could be the root of the problem.

The correct ratio has already been set with the tuner

This has been a problem for some tuners to get straightened out. Although I believe its been cured. Who is the tuner

I'm using an SCT tuner with a custom dyno tune, but it allows me to change the gear ratio as well. I have it set to 4.10

Who is the tuner that you used to get the custom dyne tune. You would be better served to use a performance shop such as brenspeed. You should give them a call explain to them what you have and your problem. They should be able to take care of you. Or the shop that did the dyne tune should have a fix for this problem as it should be for free. Brenspeed may charge you for the new tune
