Default Ambient Air Sensor Location

Hi All

My Dad's 2014 Hertz Penske GT's AC has stopped blowing cold. I think its related to the outside air temp sensor. I'm not sure if this location is different from a standard GT but I have not had any luck finding it behind the bumper as my web searches have come up with.

Hint - Its not behind the grill on the drivers side. I see the mount there but no sensor or sign of wires.... (photo from my web search of where I think it is supposed to be attached)

Thanks

Also the reason I think its the sensor is the display is showing outside air temp stuck at 50 F in July in Texas

Never mind, mystery solved. That is indeed the correct located as pictured in my photo. I dug around some more and found the loose wire with sensor stuck back up under the front suspension. Looks like it somehow came loose and bounced and drug around before it ended up there.

That was going to be my suggestion. It had to be there, or torn off, because there is no reason that the Hertz car would have it different from other Mustangs. And the constant temperature says that the sensor is probably bad. Could be that someone disconnected it and tucked it up there.
