Default Electric water pump

I have read a lot of threads with people talking about adding or having an electric water pump on their cars. I have search the parts places online an even tried a google search to find one. Where can I find one andwhat are the performance gains that people are experiencing with them?

Go here http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gtfan.htm It has some wires and a cool switch to install too.

It's all about the switches, man

yeah switches... lighted switches! i just put mine on saturday along with the march fluidamper lower pulley. wanted to run sunday. last day for local track but, they closed the pit gate at 9:30am! too many cars! i won't know how much difference it made cause i'm having the converter put in now. it definitly runs cooler. don't know how much but my gauge only goes 1/4 of the way up. it used to be in the middle. oh i hooked mine up on the accessory so when the wife drives it i don't end up with melted plastic and well done aluminum. sorry no extra switches yet.

I don't understand how it is supposed to be wired completely.... what does having it on accessory do? Or could you just use the switch to turn it on when the car is off?

my guess is you'll get the extra horsepower from it being electric, plus the engine would run better when its half as hot as before, no?

i'm not sure how the temp is going to affect the tune. i'll let the tuner figure that out but knowing how all my previous race cars have been it 's got to help. i wired mine so that when i turn the ignition switch to the accessory position it comes on then. that way my wife won't forget to turn on the pump and when i'm racing i can just turn to the acc. position to let the car cool down plus i can listen to the radio. you can wire it directly to a switch which is much easier than what i did. it took me about 2hrs. to neatly run the wires. i also ran some extra wires in that loom in case i add something else later that requires access to the fuse panel or needs switches inside. it is so quiet it kind of scares me cause i don't know if it's on sometimes. you should have no problems with any interior noise from the meziere pump.

I was deciding between this and the delete plates or underdrive pulleys, but this looks like the best options. I mean lets face it, delete plates dont have switches.
