Lowered 05 GT
For those who have dropped their 05 GT could you advise what type of ride quality you have, how low you dropped and what springs you purchased, also any issues with rocker panels hitting Car Wash rails. Does a 2.0 drop in the rear completely crush the ride quality if you maintain stock 17 rims and tires? I live in Chicago so I deal with crappy roads. Daily Driver.

RE: Lowered 05 GT
I bought the Tein H springs form Ebay for 152.00 shipped to my door. The lowered my car about 2" in the rear and about 1" in the front. It looks perfect! Advertised drop is 1.7" Rear and .09" in the front. I live in Chicago area too, Roeslle to exact. I also have 18" rims with 35 series tires. The ride is firm but not too bad. I do what I can to avoide pot holes. Ground clearance is not bad at all, I would say I have about 4.5" clearance in the rocker panels. It might be a problem getting it on a lift at a service shop though.
Also, I would not recommend going to an auto carwash at all (they scratch the hell out of your car). If you must go, try the ones where the car does not move through like the kind at the new BP gas stations.

I have the Eibach Sportline the ride quality is great since the purchase of Tokico D-Spec adjustable shocks and struts. The handling is outstanding. Although you do have to be careful with curbs and speed bumps.

I have the H&R sport lines, the car looks and rides so much better. It's not so low that I have to worry (too much) about speed bumps and such. I need to post up pics, I don't think anyone has put up pics of the H&Rs.
