i got mine from the same place. if you have a newer computer that does not have a serial port to plug the cable they send you into, you'll have to get an adapter or another cord that plugs into a usb port from radio shack. just a heads up

This tuner only has the "canned" tunes and is not near the performance of what a custom tune will get you. B amachips will do tunes for the diablosport tuners but I am not aware to another tuner that does them.. Many dyno shops use this tuner though and might be the best route for the best gains.

So, Black Sunshine, Did you notice a significant difference when you added the CAI on top of your tune? Do you feel the CAI was worth the money?

yes i do. i went with the JLT which was proven to gain the most HP, and i got it from American Muscle.com for $199.99 + free shipping. you can feel and hear it working. it sucksair so hard i can hear it above my exhaust.

If I get the X-Cal II, with the Brenspeed custom tunes, and I want to change them later, can I mod them, delete the Brenspeed tunes, and replace with my own? Or are these custom tunes locked into the device? Also, what should I tell them that I want? I know next to zero about the numbers, like a/f ratios, etc. I just want performance. I have a K&N CAI.

Final question: which of these mods require a tune? I have the CAI, and I'm doing 3.73 gears, Borla cat-back, Steeda UDPs...

I have the SCT tuner from Brenspeed, running the 93 octane tune. No problems, car runs like a bat out of hell. Couldn't be happier

Yes you should be able to delete them, but unless you get a gyno tune I have no clue why. The gears can be adjusted by you. Brent can do a tune for the K&N.
