I think you should remove that word "smoothness" [8D] This is the roughest ride I've ever had - but then again I didn't buy it as a luxury ride. With the Saleen suspension upgrades and this rubber, its feels like riding on rails compared to the old stock 5.0's I had in the 80's and 90's.

AGREED, the ride is bumpy but the car hugs the road quite well now. New shocks like Tokiko or QA1's would smooth it some though but for me the $$$ is better spent on go-fast right now.

Speaking of ride.

I live in New Orleans and the streets are terrible here.
Have you hit any major bumps or gone up or down curbs yet. I need to know if there is ANY hint of wheel rub (specifically in the back). I made the mistake of taking saleen's advise on rims last time and found that with the sportline springs, the rear 10" wheels rubbed like crazy on my 2000 mustang. I don't want this to happn again. I had to buy enough rubber for other reasons without worrying about the wheel well cutting into my tires.

No tire rub yet on my car. The suspension is so tight on this thing though I imagine you would experience some rub if you went 20's, lowered but did nothing to upgrade the suspension.

No rubbing at all with the 10.5's, but I only have the Pro Kit. Sportlines are a whole different ball game from the looks of them. The springs are the suspension upgrade for stiffness since new shocks would actually soften the ride a little. The stockers are designed for stock ride height so when you lower the car you're kind of pre-loading the stock shocks which can't travel the distance they were designed to anymore.

I've learned my lesson on those springs, the sportlines lowered the car a little over 2 inches. Then, with the extra weight of the sound system in the trunk, the car looked slammed to the ground.

I've never used a progressive rate spring, and I think that the pro kit may give me the look I want without sacrificing the ability to install wide rear wheels.

Yes, I think you should consider the pro-kit. The car is noticeably lower and I've got no problem with these wheels. I don't know how much wider than 10.5 you could, or would want to go without problems.

9 second 1/8 is a little slow for an 05 with all that stuff on it. I know because mine is slow too. It ran 9.22 at 78, but that was the first time I had been to the dragstrip and the first 5 speed I have ever had. Only been driving it about a month when I went. I missed third alot, plus I was nervous. What was your 60 foot?
